The AME Summer Institute introduces DIGITAL/MEDIA/ARTS, a rigorous, standards-based curriculum developed specifically for California AME academies with input from industry experts and educators.

Do not miss this opportunity for in-depth professional development and planning designed especially for district-wide and school-based teams, to focus on curriculum and instruction in arts, media, and digital design.

School and District Leaders Learn how your high school AME academy can adopt a rigorous, comprehensive four-year program of study that incorporates technical, academic, and work-based learning and prepares students for college and careers.

Teachers in Visual Arts and Media Attend workshops and guided planning sessions where you will learn to implement Foundations in Visual Arts, a 9th/10th grade course that bridges visual arts and digital media, addresses 21st century skills, and makes strong connections to careers in the arts, media, and entertainment industry sector. Strengthen your skills in project-based teaching, interdisciplinary connections, and assessment.

Academic Teachers in AME Academies Preview and try out project-based units in science, math, social studies, and English language arts that engage students in creative disciplinary instruction through authentic AME applications.
