ConnectEd works in partnership with policymakers, educators, employers and others to promote state policy that enables the creation and expansion of multiple pathways. The following objectives guide our work in the policy arena.
- INFORM policymakers, educational leaders, business and industry representatives, parents, advocates and others about the potential for multiple pathways to transform California high schools.
- CONNECT policymakers, educational leaders, high school reform advocates, business and industry representatives and others in order to foster healthy dialogue about education reform needs and opportunities.
- BUILD a powerful coalition of partners made up of stakeholder groups that support the multiple pathways approach to transforming today’s education to meet the needs of tomorrow’s economy.
- ADVOCATE to the state legislature and key stakeholders the need for passage of bills that thoughtfully address the needs and opportunities related to educational reform.
- EVALUATE the impacts and outcomes of our work to accomplish the ConnectEd policy goals.
